Jaime holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Panamericana with honors. He holds a Ph.D. in Law (J.S.D.) from the Yale Law School, from which he also obtained a Master of Law (LL.M.). He did the Program in Human Rights and Democratization Processes of the University of Chile. He did a master’s in business law at Universidad Panamericana. He has been a Fulbright-García Robles scholar. He is member of the National System of Researchers. In the academic field, since 2002, he is Associate Professor of Public International Law and Constitutional Theory of Universidad Panamericana’s Law School. He is also Adjoint Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law since 2010 and visiting professor at several international universities. Researcher accredited to the Center for Human Rights Studies of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in San José, Costa Rica. It has various publications on international law, human rights, constitutional law and legal education. Presently, he is holder of the chair in Constitutional Theory, Public International Law and the seminar “Contemporary American Jurisprudence” at Universidad Panamericana's Law School.
